Allyson Jule Biography

Allyson Jule, PhD, is a Professor of Education and the Dean of Education, Community, and Human Development at the University of the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada. She has written numerous books on a variety of topics, including gender and language, gender and education as well as gender and religion. She was awarded the National 3M Teaching Fellowship for excellence in university teaching in 2016. She is also the past president of Canada’s Women and Gender Studies et Recherches Féministes (WGSRF) Association. She currently serves as Chair to the Association of BC Deans of Education (ABCDE) and is Treasurer of the Canadian Association of Deans of Education (ACDE).

 

In February 2022, she was named #14 on Academic Influence’s world  rankings of the Top 100 Influential Women Scholars in Education over the last 10 years. She is the only Canadian on the list! More: Influential Women in Education From the Last 10 Years | Academic Influence
